This project comprised the construction of a new bridge over Nadgigomar Creek to replace the existing causeway crossing. The concept design was for a three-span bridge to be supported on bored piles.
D&N Geotechnical were commissioned by Goulburn Mulwaree Council for a geotechnical investigation to refine the concept design and allow structural design of bridge foundations.
The investigation comprised drilling of four deep cored boreholes across the alignment. We were able to develop a geotechnical ground model and deliver key engineering design parameters required for cost-effective foundation design and delivery. The final design nominated two spans.
We were engaged during detailed design to conduct an additional investigation and provide a pavement design for respective road approaches.
We were also retained during construction for geotechnical support and on-site verification of design.
