Environmental Scientist (E2E) – SYD

Our Sydney team is seeking a professional environmental scientist/engineer, who has at least 2 years’ consulting experience in the geoscience and remediation services sector. The Environmental Scientist/Engineer will work with the wider D&N environment team to support our growing environmental service delivery in NSW.

The responsibilities of the position are to:

• Coordinate and undertake environmental support and monitoring projects.
• Undertake field works, including working with subcontractors to efficiently deliver field investigations
• Utilise a variety of sampling and monitoring equipment to sample different media.
• Prepare and coordinate the delivery of small to large-scale technical reporting in the contaminated land space.
• Play your part within the wider D&N team across Australia.
• Continue to develop professional skills and competencies.
• Uphold D&N’s project administration and commercial requirements in accordance with our Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental processes.

About You

The successful applicant will:

• Degree qualified in Earth Science, Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering.
• Have a minimum of 2 years’ professional consulting experience as an environmental scientist/engineer.
• Enjoy working in the field, possessing a robust and demonstratable technical understanding of field sampling/monitoring and analytical methods across a variety of media.
• Be willing to undertake field works in regional areas, requiring travel and extended stays.
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills (including effective computer and software literacy).
• Be competent in a range of environmental data management software packages such as Esdat, Gint etc.
• Australian work rights and valid driver’s license.
