D&N Geotechnical were commissioned by Opus for the Korns Bridge Replacement Project. Korns Bridge, with an overall length of >100 m and over five spans is considered a major RMS asset and as such required a detailed geotechnical study.
The investigation comprised drilling of 9 deep cored boreholes and 6 shallow auger boreholes. Development of a geotechnical ground model, engineering design parameters and recommendations for bridge foundation types were key deliverables to support overall civil/structural design.
